Overview
Lee spent 29 years in the military. He was an accomplished pilot, meteorologist, commander, and leader of men. He was a gifted writer, artist, gardener and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Upon the acquisition of a computer, he began writing and sending vignettes from his life experiences, in letter form, to his sisters and brother-in-law. This work is a collection of those vignettes and many of his observations and experiences, as disclosed in the letters.
People mentioned in the letters include Odette?s niece, Mariel, and her husband Tony Spiritisantos; another niece, Nellie Mayo; Griff Kimball?employer and mentor. Other people mentioned are explained by their relationship to him?either friends, relatives, hunting or fishing companions, or military acquaintances or neighbors. Ideas expressed are his own.
Material compiled and edited by his sister, Delfa Hand Andrus.
